About Me

Hi, I’m Linden Goffar — I’ve managed, deployed, supported, debugged, spec’d, designed, developed, shipped, evangelized, and apologized for enterprise class software for nearly 30 years. Still, I remain fascinated by the endless opportunities enabled through software. It’s unique ability to simplify, capacity to complicate, potential to delight, and tendency to confound. The raw power found in a few thousand lines of code and the un-escaped characters capacity to render these useless. The vast dichotomy between “and” and “or” that so often defines the difference between feature and bug. The difference a simple tab can make to readability, a semicolon makes to functionality, and a great piece of software can make to the world.

I have designed disaster recovery systems, recovered systems from disasters, and even created a few disasters, but I’ve learned much from each of these. I’ve run large projects, cross-team projects, small projects and quite a few in between, through each I’ve learned there are few limits to what a strong team can deliver. From my start in support, through program management to my most recent focus on AI enhanced cloud software, I’ve maintained a focus on customers and delivering great end to end user experiences through every program, product and feature set I have owned.
